Overview:

Users must also obtain and install these software packages:

  1. NCAR Graphics for all graphical displays,
  2. UNIDATA's netCDF for reading and writing netCDF data files, and
  3. GBYTES-SBYTES for handling binary packing. You will need to check if these libraries are included in the NCAR graphics release that you get.

These data analysis software packages were developed and are maintained by NCAR/MMM and are released subject to any and all obligations on the user as specified in the copyright statement. It should be understood by the recipient/user that NCAR/MMM assumes no liability for any errors contained in the code. It is expected that appropriate credit be given to software author(s) and to the National Center for Atmospheric Research in any publications that result from the use of any of these software packages or in any software package that includes any of these software packages, in part or in whole.

All CEDRIC, SPRINT and PPI_MMM software packages are available from the MMM web site at "http://box.mmm.ucar.edu/radarcode/. Please note: These codes have been frozen and have not been updated since the retirement of Jay Miller in 2004.

These software packages make use of the NCAR Graphics package available from NCAR's Scientific Computing Division and the network Common Data Format (netCDF) software available from UCAR's UNIDATA.
