The System for Integrated Modeling of the Atmosphere (SIMA) represents software infrastructure, frontier science, and collaboration that brings together the weather, climate, chemistry and geospace communities. This effort grew from the planning project known as Singletrack in 2018. This talk describes what SIMA is, the goals for SIMA, approximate timeline, and progress on the infrastructure and collaborations needed to make SIMA successful.
