Based on the affirmative response from those who replied to my previous email, we will proceed with the WRF planning workshop Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday March 29-30 in Boulder. I ask each of the working group leaders to contact the other members of your group (plus any others who might want to participate in these discussions) to inform them of the meeting and urge them to attend. Also, it would be a good opportunity to identify action items that working groups should be addressing so we can have focused discussions at the meeting. For each of the working groups, we should be prepared to review progress and plans in that topic area. Specifically:

• Current status of development
• Timeline for significant milestones
• Specific strategy for achieving milestones in the coming year (what needs to be done, who will do it, when it will be done)
• Issues requiring decision or agreement by the broader planning team

In our conference call meeting last month, we identified a number of items for follow up at this March meeting, which I hope you will address.

I would welcome further comment on specifics for the meeting agenda. At present, I'm thinking we should use Wednesday afternoon for working group meetings that would facilitate an all-together session Thursday to present, discuss, and make decisions on the important issues.

Please, help get the word out regarding this meeting asap so we can get as broad participation as possible.
