Announcement for WRF Tutorial

Following the Joint WRF/MM5 Users' Workshop on 22 - 25 June, the Mesoscale and Microscale Meteorology Division, NCAR, is offering a five-day WRF tutorial on 28 June - 2 July, 2004. The tutorial will consist of a series of lectures on various components of WRF modeling system and hands-on practice sessions:

• Overview of the WRF modeling system
• Dynamics and numerics of WRF mass core
• WRF physics
• Initialization for idealized cases
• Initialization for real-data cases
• How to set up and run WRF SI
• How to set up and run WRF model
• WRF Software
• Post-processing graphic tools
• 3DVAR
• Practice sessions

The registration fee for the WRF tutorial is $250.00 for university users and $350.00 for others. The registration and payment are due May 3, 2004.
