P35 The
effect of double dynamical downscaling on climate change simulations for the
western U.S.

Differences
in climate changes from different levels of downscaling will be examined in
this presentation. We have further dynamically downscaled WRF simulations
driven by the NCAR Community Climate System Model (CCSM) version 3 from the
North American Regional Climate Change Assessment Program (NARCCAP) from 50-km
to 10-km over the Western U.S. using a different version of WRF. Further
downscaling does modify the projected climate changes from each parent
simulation. We will provide an overview of the differences in some of the
climate change projections from these simulations, as well as explanations for
some of the differences.
