P79 Sensitivity of convective properties to selection criteria

A variety of selection criteria have been used in past studies to identify updrafts/convective cores in cloud resolving models. This poster will explore how selection criteria impact convective properties such as the strength,frequency, and area for several weeks of WRF simulations over N. Oklahoma in May and July of 2007. In-house runs with varying resolutions will be compared to simulations run by NCAR and NSSL in support of the NOAA Hazardous Weather Testbed (HWT).
