5.3 Evaluation
of WRF physics options for West African monsoon applications

Physics schemes are evaluated in terms of their treatment
of rainfall in the West African monsoon season. A grid size of 20 km is used,
and schemes tested include four cumulus parameterizations, three PBL schemes,
and two microphysics schemes. These schemes are evaluated in terms of the
easterly waves and diurnal cycles. |
