The velocities are interpolated to the fire grid before being used. 
Those are what probably interest you (although most graphics packages 
cannot simultaneously visualize variables on 2 different resolution 
grids, so you may want to plot the other).

Average/summation the same thing for the fluxes, which give the 
 energy released per second per m^-2.
When averaged/summed onto the atmospheric grid, the flux is a bit 
fuzzier than on the fire grid cells.  The value on the (coarser) 
atmospheric grid cells is what is used to create changes in the 
atmospheric state variables.
