Known Problems in Version 3.0.1 (Details)

Problem with Using Lat-Lon Projection in Geogrid : (posted 8/1/08)

Problem: When using a lat-lon projection for regional ARW domains, no topography is produced for areas west of the domain center when 30-second topography data is used.

Solution: This issue arises when using a lat-lon projection with the average_gcell interpolation scheme, which is the default in the GEOGRID.TBL for 30-second topography data. Either use a different resolution of geographical data, or remove the average_gcell(4.0) option from the GEOGRID.TBL.

Occasional segamentation fault in metgrid: (posted 5/16/08, Fixed In V3.0.1)

Problem: A problem with the use of optional variable landmask in metgrid routine process_domain_module.F90 is uncovered when PGI compiler 7.* is used.

Solution: Download the fixed routine and replace the one in metgrid/src/ directory. Recompile WPS.
