Step through the cases below. Try to do as many of the cases as possible.
The
-rating is an
estimate of difficulty.
If you are an experienced user, feel free to try some of the advanced cases.
There is no expectation that you have to complete all the cases. Experiment with the cases you are more likely to use in your research; for instance, if you are never going to use the nudging options, then there is no need to run those cases.
Once you are comfortable running the practical cases, try setting up a domain over your area of interest, or play with different physical options (the tutorial case input data is global, so you can place a domain anywhere in the world).
We recommend running with pre-compiled code, so that you can save some time.
The first step, before you start running any of the cases below, is to copy the pre-compiled code to your working directory.
**NOTE**
If you want to keep wrfout files for comparison between cases, move or rename them before you start a new case, as the old ones will be overwritten by newer ones.
