Practice Exercises¶
Welcome to the WRF Tutorial Practice Exercises!
New users : To set up your NSF NCAR Derecho computing environment, click below. This is a one-time setup that occurs after logging into Derecho and is separate from account setup.
Returning users, skip to the Standard Practice Exercises.
Please read the following important notes before proceeding:
Complete the Initial Exercise and then the Single Domain case before other exercises.
Save output files, as later exercises may require them.
Completing all exercises is not required; focus on those relevant to your research after the initial exercises.
Once comfortable, try the Set-up and Run Your Own Case exercise.
Refer to the WRF-ARW User’s Guide and recorded lectures, as needed.
Important
New Unix users should complete this quick exercise to become familiar with common commands.
